A couple of weeks ago, I was on the search for Planet of the Apes, the one with Mark Wahlberg (which I couldn't find anywhere and ended up having to download it on Hulu) I saw a preview a while ago for Rise of the Apes, and while the monkeys are a bit freaky looking and it might be a shitty flick, I still want to see it.
I can't help that I have a tender spot for sci-fi flicks. It's my parent's fault. Both my mother and father have a taste for them and passed them down to me. It's why I love Star Wars and The Terminator; as a matter of fact I watched the old Planet of the Apes movies with my father (along with the old Godzilla movies, but I digress). I watched movies with my mother during hair-braiding weekends and watched them with my father every time we went back home to Brooklyn. So I blame them for being a sucker for it.
Does anyone else have plans to see this movie? And has anyone close to you inspired your movie-watching habits?
There are a lot of movies I watched and liked because of my mom. Some of them my Hubby has never heard of so I know it wasn't advertising - it was her influence
